About Ryan

For many years Ryan has been actively involved gaining experience for Christian service in Missions Aviation. He currently works as an FAA certified Aircraft Mechanic and Avionics Technician, holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate, and has a degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

During the summer of 2014 Ryan volunteered 6 weeks with the Missionary Aviation Repair Center, an organization that impacts the remote areas of Alaska by facilitating air transportation services for Christian organizations, churches, pastors, and bible camps within that region.

Ryan had visited Alaska twice before, first on a Church of the Nazarene Work and Witness trip to Homer in 2010 and second on a backpacking and kayaking trip in 2011.

In September 2014 he packed up his gear, loaded the car, drove a 5000 mile journey to the Kenai Peninsula to work for the winter, and has been there ever since.
